Jaya Bond-Mitchell, Founder of Jaiyah and a performance athlete, had a difficult time finding dance wear in her skin tone shade as a person of color. In 2019, she decided to create her own dance wear line, Jaiyah, with her husband Walter Mitchell to promote true inclusion and diversity for everyone.

Jaiyah is a dancewear brand that champions dancers of all color by designing innovative products that pushes toward a true inclusive future in the concert space and beyond. Our product is meant to empower all, but especially the dancers of color who have been disenfranchised and underrepresented in the ballet space.
